How can we analyze the fundamental human passions without directly relating them to ourselves in equal proportion.

We are conscious of our quick resolve to violence as a justifiable recourse to settling affairs - whether they be of the body politic or of our own in-house personal issues. Our known civility is rooted first in the house of defence - wherein we judge our survival upon all things being within acceptable ranges as we protect our resources.

And, it is within these parameters that we have created games as a mechanism of relieving our violent bases without generally suffering social retribution.
